GoeGoe Honglin Pharmaceutical Co. (GoeGoe Honglin Pharm.) has mastered several modified-release technologies such as sustained-release pellets, enteric-coated pellets, and osmotically controlled release tablets, and applied them to our marketed products, JUPOPHON®, Kelanmei®, JUPOPINE® and RoToFier®. We’re ready to apply these technologies to other drugs in collaboration with our partners. Our technology capacity reflects our long-standing commitment to contributing to the society.
GoeGoe Honglin Pharm. further expanded the technology from ALZA Corporation — the originator of osmotic pump controlled release technology.
This technology, known as OROS (Osmotic Controlled-Release Oral Delivery System), involved the osmotic design of the tablet's core, which contained both the drug and osmotic agent and a semi-permeable membrane. It’s an advanced drug delivery technology that controls the release rate of medications in tablet form through the osmotic pressure inside the membrane. When a patient swallows an OROS tablet, water is drawn through the membrane to saturate the drug, which is then released in liquid form drop by drop through laser-drilled holes in the tablet. This permits a gradual release of the drug and leads to reduced side effects and predictable levels of the drug in the bloodstream.
Driven by the passion to contribute to the pharmaceutical industry, GoeGoe Honglin Pharm. has established a specialized overseas R&D team. Dr. Huang, one of the core members, holds a doctoral degree from the University of Michigan (U.S.A.) and has served successively in internationally renowned pharmaceutical giants such as Merck Sharp & Dohme Co., Inc. ALZA Corporation and Johnson&Johnson, boasting profound technical accumulation and extensive industry experience. Furthermore, we have specially invited the patent inventor of the controlled-release technology to provide technical support, realizing the precise implementation and systematic inheritance of this core technology.
Notably, in recognition of GoeGoe Honglin Pharm.'s remarkable contributions to the inheritance of controlled-release technology and as an affirmation of our technical strength, ALZA Corporation has presented to our company a true antique — the world's first fully automatic mechanical drilling machine used for controlled-release tablet testing — for commemoration. This gesture holds profound significance, further demonstrating GoeGoe Honglin Pharm.'s outstanding technical capabilities in the field.
After multiple generations of technological upgrades, we have established a controlled-release technology platform with independent formulation patents, developing controlled-release products that achieve zero-order rate release. These products feature stable blood drug concentrations, therapeutic effects, fewer side effects, as the products based on the innovator’s technology and greater suitability for long-term use, making them a trusted choice among physicians and patients.
